Indigenous employment opportunities
Wherever possible, Gindalbie is committed to employing suitable qualified Indigenous people from the community. To achieve this, we are working with Central West TAFE to co-ordinate the delivery of accredited training programs through registered training providers. In particular, the program looks at identifying training and skills development opportunities and employment strategies which will benefit the mining industry and local community.
Indigenous business opportunities
Gindalbie is committed to promoting Indigenous economic development. We will establish and support preferred contractor/supplier status to local Indigenous groups who wish to provide contract services, provided these meet our fundamental business and safety requirements.
To support this, Gindalbie has developed a Business Mentoring Program and will provide support to ensure equal opportunity for Indigenous businesses.
Gindalbie also consults with members of the Mid West mining industry, Indigenous communities and government through the “Midwest Mining and Aboriginal Economic Development Partnership”. The Partnership works to enhance business and employment opportunities through collaborative partnerships.
